Join for the 27th Annual Sunset Community Festival on Sat. October 1st! Enjoy live music, delicious bites, and bring your kids to the Kids Zone for life-sized games, crafts, jumpers, reptile zoo, and more! This free family-friendly event draws over 3,500 residents and celebrates the diversity of the region, building bridges among neighbors and providing performance opportunities for local residents. Located on 37th & Ortega St. Event is free for all!



Party at the Castro Street Fair

The Castro Street Fair takes over Castro and Market Streets from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday with live music, food and drinks, and good vibes. It's going to be a party! Event is free for all.




Sway to bluegrass music all weekend at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival

After a two-year hiatus, SF’s most beloved free and completely non-commercial music festival is back with three days of banjos, upright bass, harmonicas, and more. This year’s headliners are guaranteed to draw huge crowds eager to see the likes of Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, and more. The music starts at 1 pm on Friday and 11 am on Saturday and Sunday. Happening in Golden Gate Park! Check the link for the schedule and exact location.

Celebrate the grand opening of the new museum; ICA SF! Join for family activities, performances from MX Oops and to view the inaugural exhibition: THIS BURNING WORLD, by Jeffrey Gibson.

  • 1pm: Performance by MX Oops inside the ICA SF.

  • 12pm - 2pm: Bubbles by Impossibubbles in front of the ICA SF.

  • Family activities all day.

Check out the Craft Valley Fair

The area in Toyama Prefecture in Japan, northwestern Gifu Prefecture, and northern Ishikawa Prefecture is commonly known as Craft Valley. The name was given to an area where traditional culture and craftsmanship have thrived since ancient times, with the aim of developing it into a global market. At this fair in Japantown, exhibitions and sales of Kutani ware, Inami carvings, Hida Japanese candles, Takaoka copperware, lacquerware, etc. will be held. You'll also be able to try rice crackers and other sweets, sweetfish nectar, organic miso soup, sake, and more. Event is free and happening in Japantown on Saturday from 11am-6pm.
