In the heart of San Francisco's Outer Richmond, Ramsey and Marda Garcia have opened Boa's CVC, a vibrant all-day dining destination that reflects their passion for community and cuisine. The couple, who also run Fable restaurant in the Castro, saw an opportunity to create a neighborhood spot that serves locals from morning coffee to evening drinks.

“We wanted to build something for the neighborhood—something that’s always open, always welcoming. We didn’t want people to wonder, ‘Are they open right now?’” Marda explains.
From breakfast coffees and sandwiches to lunch, happy hour, and dinner, the restaurant aims to be a flexible space for the community, a rare third space. Pulling inspiration from their travels to Southern Italy, the Garcias have crafted a menu that blends Italian flavors with California's fresh, local produce. They source ingredients from the local farmers' markets at the Veteran Hospital near Sutro Baths and import specialty Italian flours for their pizzas, creating a unique culinary experience.

Another enticing aspect is its genuinely happy happy hour. Boa's offers an enticing deal with wine glasses at half off, making it a local favorite for afternoon gatherings. The restaurant plans to further distinguish its offerings by implementing separate day and night menus, with the evening menu focusing on pizzas, small plates, and desserts. The space itself is a testament to their vision—bright, welcoming, and designed to maximize the natural light and corner location.
“I’m more of the planner and thinker,” Marda says. “Ramsey is the connector—he knows a guy, makes things happen.”

The response from neighbors has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Even before we opened, people were knocking on the door to ask what was coming. The folks across the street at Richmond Market have been great. We have regulars now, like Roy—he comes every day, brings his friends and family. He even thought about buying a house nearby just to be closer.” Marda explains.

The space itself is a testament to their vision: a bright, welcoming restaurant with great natural light and carefully designed seating. With friendly service, locally sourced ingredients, and a genuine passion for their community, Boa's is quickly becoming a beloved local establishment.
